Your mom certainly wasn't.
I heard you were though.
The "tea party movement" probably started with Ron Paul's GOP primary, but it's been getting astroturfed since that folded in mid-2008. By the time Obama was sworn in, you had professional shill Rick Santelli make that phony sanctimonious speech on CNBC (about mortgage bailouts - bailouts designed to help regular folks keep their homes, and proposed long after the banksters got their free money), and Fox News was promoting the rallies, it's been organized and run by the big time GOP boys. Let's not kid ourselves, it's been fake longer than it's been legit.
The one concrete thing accomplished through "fear of Bush" was push the remaining members of the "axis of evil" towards nuclear weapon production.
I agree. By and large the movement has been coerced. However I still read and hear about legit conferences in Texas (of all places).
Iran being in the axis of evil is horseshit as far as I'm concerned. Ahmadinejad has said he will accept pre-processed uranium delivered by the French. This uranium cannot be used or reverse engineered to make weapons in any way, so the concerns about Iran proliferating nuclear weapons would be null. They just want it to power their country in an efficient manner. How do you think this went over? Bad science to the rescue.Quote:

Also have any of you heard Jesse Ventura's voting idea of "none of the above"? Probably the simplest and most potent political point of view I've ever heard. Him and Oliver Stone were on King last night talking about how Hugo Chavez and Venezuela were not at all the monsters big media were totting they were (the government line).
Go Democratic to keep the existing works in motion until a leader is crowned. Meaning a Democratic vote system. I'd pull in the Governors for it as well as the GOP and DEM top seeds.
Just checking in to see if Obama is catching shit for doing nothing about the oil spill yet.
Is he?
Haven't seen it yet on the Daily Show, so I'm guessing no.
