And there's a lot of shitty, slimy business owners that I don't want running things either. Is Carly Fiorina more qualified to run for public office than ANYONE just because she ran HP to the ground? No government seat should be open to more than 2 terms. Career politician problem solved. Good ol boys problem solved.

Normally I would say that is some sneaky ass shit. But the Tea Party grassroots (who have long since abandoned it) came up with good stuff going the other way around. There's no point in dishing it if you can't take it .

I think term limits create just as many problems as they solve. California has term limits and it leads to a bunch of novices coming in and getting eaten alive by the system, by slick lobbyists, etc. And for all we know it actually may increase corruption, since people may just try to extract as much as possible before their terms are up (like a football player angling for a high contract before their knees explode). I am sure political scientists have done studies on this, I just haven't seen them. It's just a hypothesis.

How did I contradict myself? Out of the three that can't manage, Bush had the best ideology. Given the choice of all four, I picked the guy who can run a business. That's pretty damn consistent with the point I was making...
