Competition is all well and fine but what's the point if you're already defeated based on your religion, sexual orientation, place of origin, or skin color? That's why Affirmative Action was set in place. And your skillset is only worth what companies are willing to pay for it. Not everyone can make deep into six figures or touch the sevens. It just can't happen that way because costs will adjust and you'll still be in the same place you were before but with more zeros in your paycheck. It will be meaningless. I don't know how you fight for a class you're not even a part of.

I agree with your defense of Equal Opportunity over Affirmative Action but I still think it should be changed to people of different financial classes.

I don't follow your last point. How would EO be applied to people of different classes? Full on Marxism?

Ok, so maybe it was a mistake to leave the gold standard. That doesn't adress what I was addressing at all. Stop pushing your old timey idealist right wing corporate chode choking thoughts and focus on the argument at hand here.

Also, provide concrete proof with empirical evidence that shows that the immigration problem is fucking America up. Immigrants save us far more cash than we spend on them unless you can prove otherwise. Then when you're done with that explain to me how a government with officials we can vote in and out of office has as big a conflict of interests as a greedy ass oligopoly where I have 0 say in their policy or price points?

Children of different economic standings already have the odds against them. If we have a difference in education people already lose. It isn't fair for a child in the inner city to have a shittier education than one who has millions at his disposal.

I think a lot (though admittedly not all) of this problem falls back on the parents. I am sure there is a difference in the schools themselves, but there is a far larger difference between a kid who gets read to at home and gets support from his parents and the one who doesn't. That's the culture issue that needs to be fixed to enable more kids to break the class cycle. Unfortunately, the only solution is for the parents to actually be parents, and that gets back to personal responsibility. If you aren't able/willing to take care of your kid, get better birth control.
