But the Bush Tax Cuts probably cost the country hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars in hypothetical revenue over the past 10 years, when we needed it most. That isn't 'free' to me.

If spending were low, we could get away with having such low taxes. But if we're not cutting spending, we can't cut taxes. Doing one without the other and expecting a different result is silly.

Everything you said is true. You have to take a hit on one side or the other. I contend that there is so much pork in all of these bills the drunken fucks in Washington pass that it's more advantageous to take the hit on cost instead or needing add revenue.

I'm not making a prediction. I'm stating what should be done. If I were to try to make a prediction, I'd go find Sarah Palin's kid with Down Syndrome and ask him what he'd do, because that should closely mirror Congress' thought process.

What is your definition of "super rich" or "making money hand over fist?"

And how do you figure people aren't having to pay taxes? If they're finding loop holes, then the tax rate makes no difference. If they're not, then the highest incomes are already paying the highest tax rates.

I actually almost specifically called them out, but I consider that bullshit a loophole, so the first part covers them.
