There's a jailbreak exploit about to be released, but once you crack it you can't undo it.
Everyone should buy the official screen protectors because holy shit, they're super-easy to apply, bubbles aren't a major issue, there's no residue if you remove it to place it on better, and it's easy to put into place since they includes a little face button guide along with it. Also, if you bought the system from Amazon, check your e-mails - you might have a $20 credit for Vita games/accessories due to the free 4GB memory card promotion they did at the last second.
I just got notice that my Vita shipped. Yay!
I got the $25 starter kit that came with a screen protector. Put it on, of course it wasn't lined up right, took it off and reapplied and now I have four or five bubbles where pieces of dust or whatever stuck to the protector. They're not noticeable when the system is on, but they drive me crazy when it's turned off. SO I guess will spend another $11 or whatever they are separately and try again. At worst, I will cut this one down and throw it on the back panel.
I'm rolling without a screen protector. Couldn't stand the one that was properly applied to my phone, either.
Are these things still using pussy ass screens that need protection, as opposed to the smart phone screens that you just about can't scratch if you try?
yes.
