Has anyone tried getting more than 8 survivors at once? I know 8 is the max that can "appear" or whatever, but once you start their mission the blurb goes away. I'm wondering if 8 is also the max you can have in a posse.
I think it's like in the first game where survivors just will not appear if they'll push you over the 8 limit.
Co-oped this with Chux last night. I'd set up Zombies with the big boot (hold R + X) and Chux would finish them off with the elbow drop. That shit is a blast.
Lost Planet 2 is $14.99 on an amazon lightning deal for the next like, half hour.
So Case West was announced - it's DLC that allows you to play as Chuck or Frank, in Fortune City and "across the country" which probably means smaller enclosed mini areas in different locales.
Also, you can take photos again. Shenanigans commence!
No release date though. Hope someone gets back on to playing this though - I still haven't done any coop stuff =(

You're either a lonely hermit that plays as Chuck with an AI Frank, or you can join someone's game and BE THE FRANK while they play as Chuck. It doesn't sound like Frank is affected in any way by whatever levels you may have gained in-game.Quote:

Yeah, if they paid me $10, I wouldn't play that shit again. Capcom is dangerously close to being over for me. They ruined Resident Evil and won't make a new Darkstalkers or Dino Crisis. There's not much left, barring the pipe dream of getting with Cave to get Progear ported to something.
I really enjoyed the LP2 demo, and am quite happy I didn't jump for the full game. Sounds like a bunch of chumps got caught!

well, gave it a go. Comparing it to another over-hyped Capcom game I pad $10 for (Dark Void), LP2 is way better than that sack of crap. Multiplayer feels like a wet thud - the maps are way too big to do anything effective unless you get a VS. Co-op campaign is pretty damn fun though. Not terrible at $10 but I could see being hella bitter paying full for it haha, chumps

The helmet designs in this game crack me up.
I kind of feel sorry for most of the people that worked on this, it's a damn pretty game. Could have been great if the people responsible for the actual gameplay portion had, I dunno, any sense of what any successful TPSes from the last decade feel like? The epic setpieces are there, but they're framed so badly with that floaty zoomed-out camera, it just seems like you're totally disconnected from what's going on.
It seems weird that camera direction alone could separate a game between 'totally awesome' and 'totally ineffectual', but I really feel that's the case here. The devil's in the details.
But anyway, yeah, there's a decent game trapped in here somewhere, reports of it being pure shit are greatly exaggerated. I'm having fun with the co-op.

I can help you on co-op; Haruspexblue. The trick is to only leg drop him and keep your distance otherwise.
I used painkillers, the big boot and the defiler. Dude went down quick.

My normal way of killing zombies is the big boot/elbow drop combo. My proudest moment is dropping the elbow off the second floor on to a fat lady zombie. This game is awesome. I'm one fucking fight from the S rank ending and I CAN NOT DO IT.
It might finally be time to get the PC versions of Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record, as GFWL will be no more tomorrow.
