Justi and I watched this last night and that's exactly what I said.
He's clearly very smart, but watching the cognitive dissonance gears turn in his head was... upsetting. I also think he's wrong on nearly every level. It's a cute intellectual exercise, but he accounts for nothing negative. Literally nothing. I mean, I know that I'd be part of the Luddite-Arson-Committee when it comes to a Deus ex Machina scenario.
Yeah... but I want to believe.
I just noticed that Nobody Knows is on instant watch. That movie is one of the finest japanese films in the last 20 years, everyone really needs to watch it.
Just watched 'Let Me In'. Know who directed 'Let Me In'? An asshole, that's who.
You're out of your mind.
I'd say about half of the time the camera is pointed at a wall, and often the shot is completely dark. I get it's 'arty' or whatever the fuck. ...you do know that Matt "Felicity" Reeves didn't direct both versions, right?
I'm hoping I'm just confused and don't know what other movie he did that was like Let Me In.
Cloverfield is still aces. Let Me In isn't nearly as bad as it could have been, and improves on the original in that it removes the stupid cat lady plot.
We're saying Cloverfield is the same movie as Let Me In? Really?
