Listen to Lucas: this game is a masterpiece of video game horror. It "pays tribute" to Resident Evil, sure, but it also introduces new concepts and carries them off very effectively. The insanity effects alone are worth the price of admission.
I have no idea how much gameplay is on this disc, or exactly what the replay value is (there do appear to be branching paths, but I am not sure if there are), but this looks like one of the top games of the year.
*stands and ovates* :)
Only had time to play for little while last night, but its indeed excellent :)
I loved Blood Omen, and I might love this one as well :)
Nappa = fruit? I didn't know that. I guess since every other saiya-jin is named after food it's not too surprising. :)Quote:

I wonder, anybody think there's something to be said for 4 year development cycles? I think most games aren't in the oven for nearly enough time, and when something like this comes along the 4 years really shows.
I think it means "peach," but I'm not sure. It is definatly a fruit though. ;)Quote:

I think the only reason it was in dev for 4 years is partly because of the switch. In all, I would say it was more like 2 and a half or 3 years total. Still pretty long though. I second that some games aren't in the cooker long enough before release. Nothing more disappointing than to play a decent game that would have been better had they fixed a few small flaws.
I agree.Quote:

To Hell with you if you don't think so, but Legend of Dragoon was in dev. for 3 years and it was amazing...except for the translation..."Minitos?!" WTF?!
yeah, the game was in development for 2 years on N64. when the game was completed, Nintendo decided it would be best to move the game over to GameCube.
so here we are.
I will stand up for Silicon Knights, as this is a masterpiece that shouldn't be missed.
They are a team of geniuses.
I never expected this, and I should have all along.
Finally we have a game that is worthy of its hype and so much more.
4 years is a long time. I mean a real long time. Think about it. That's like your entire high school career! It was suppost to come out October 2000 for N64. If the Cube is so easyto dev for, what took so long? Who else takes that long to make games? Blizzard? ID...Max Payne took forever, Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights...
