How I would play games after a traumatic injury.
Loss of legs: No more DDR, everything else the same. Maybe play games more.
Loss of arms: I would play with my feet, probably focusing on Nintendo games, or other systems without shoulder buttons. Or I would use joysticks for all games. Maybe more RPGs because the reflexes wouldn't be there. No more arcade games either.
Loss of one arm: I would learn to use one hand. Maybe would play less fighting games or games that require less reflexes. I would use the power-glove type peripheral for PSX. Anybody remember what its called?
Loss of left hand: I would use my left stump to play on joysticks.
Loss of left hand: I'd get a claw or pointer to press the buttons on a joystick or gamepad.
Loss of trigger finger on one or both hands: I'd use my middle finger on the shoulder buttons.
Loss of all fingers one or both hand (thumb/s remaining): I would make a harness to strap the controller to my palm so I could still use my thumb. I would learn to use my thumbs on joysticks.
Loss of hearing: I would turn on subtitles and play older games where all the text is written. I would also play all the games that i KNOW have music I can't stand.
Loss of vision in one eye: I would probably have to take more breaks because my one eye would get strained.
Loss of vision in both eyes: I would play "real sound" after learning japanese. I would also try to find games I can play by sound. I have heard of people playing games by sound, I would love to see what that is like. (I could try now, but I'm too busy just playing.)
Loss of nose: I could play for longer, because I wouldn't be able to smell my stinky body. :)
Loss of buttocks: I would play standing up.
Serious head trauma: I would play Britney's Dance Beat ALL THE TIME. Add a healthy dose of "NSync get to the show" and anything "Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen". I wouldn't know any better.
PS: Yes, this is the stuff I think about day to day.
PPS: I kicked my roomates ass in DOA3 one handed. I rule.

I'm guessing that was a pun or something. But it's there! I would love to 'see' what that's like when you have no vision. ;)
