Sumner Redstone's group sold out their 87 percent stake in Midway. Midway then became obligated to buy back $150M in notes.
Potentially sad. Let's hope another one doesn't bite the dust.

I'm trying to think of anything Midway's done in the last 5-6 years that was honestly good. I'd like to be sad that a game publisher is dying, and it sucks that another large chunk of game developers will be jobless soon, but I can't think of a single reason why I'd notice when Midway isn't there any more.

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks was pretty good.
Psi-ops was pretty awesome.
They have enough big IPs that I think they'd be a good buy, but then it's probably a buyers market right now. No one's feeling investy.
Loved the Hitz series.
Loved Blitz before they moved it off the N64/PS1/Dreamcast.
Other than those two, I don't think I own any 2000-and-beyond Midway games.
They've got some strong brand names, though, so surely someone will pick those up.
Has MK vs. DC been selling well?
Midway's been about as good as Nintendo lately
