Contest: Face-Off 2009: Glasses/COTC Edition
As suggested by Thief Silver in the latest "Post Your Pictures" thread, it's time for another Face-off tournament. This time, we'll see what you can do with a prop or two.
Again, this is an informal contest and is for a $75 Amazon.com gift card you can redeem at the TNL Store. (To find out more about Amazon gift cards, click the link.) TNL will gave away the prize and will stick to the rules as they are outlined in the official threads, but no other guarantees are made or implied. Just have fun with it.
The Face-off thread that inspired the first tournament (won by the amazing Timber) is a good place to start your Face-off journey, but the requirements are a little different this time. You may not resubmit pictures from any of the previous Face-off threads.
This time around, your picture has to show you interacting in some way with (or wearing) either glasses or corn on the cob. (Yes, plastic shaped like corn on the cob is allowed.) You must post your entries in this thread by 11:59 Eastern Time on Friday, February 27, 2009. I will pick up to ten pictures (see the guidelines below) and put them up for an anonymous vote. The top three vote recipients will move on to the finals, where they will have to submit at least one more picture to stay in the running. The winner of that vote gets the $75.
As before: "The faces will be likely judged on some combination of overall impact, humor, originality, unpleasantness, intensity, and how much universal truth they contain. Other than that, there won't be much to guide you. Just make a face you think TNL will enjoy."
