You've never watched the daily show, have you?
What choice?
We have no fucking choices in our system man. People voted for Obama because he wasn't Bush, and he didn't have an (R) next to his name. In 4-8 years they'll vote for some fag like Jindal or joke like Palin either of which will send us all back to the dark ages because they won't have a (D) next to their names.
I agree that people in this country are largely unintelligent, but it doesn't help that we never have any remotely intelligent choices in our candidates.
Also I think it's pretty easy to see that neither side has any idea how to fix the economy man. The Republicans love to posture, but if the roles were reversed and they had control, they'd do exactly what they did for the 6 years they had control. Polarize themselves into inaction.
There are funny conservatives, I just forget who.
LOL. It's pretty funny when a comedian and a addict at the forefront of the political parties.
Run Paul, here's your chance.
Yoshi loses based solely on the fact that he can't even acknowledge Jon Stewart's comedic talent. You try too hard and you lose everyone.
Mr. Yoshi, tell me straight because I can handle it: When Jon Stewart said the thing about how the Daily Show labels their stuff as snake oil and CNBC labels it as a vitamin tonic, why did that resonate with me? I don't view Stewart as being hypocritical there, I see that as him pointing out the misalignment of the conversation. In other words, "It's asinine that I'm telling you about this, Mr. Cramer." I don't even watch the Daily Show aside from the occasional clip like this. Why don't I see it your way, as him being hypocritical?
I said in another post that it may not be intentional, but the show clearly drives a certain point of view. As Joust pointed out, it's not as though they even attempt to be equal opportunity comedians. The first 90 days of a Presidency is often viewed as the first fair evaluation period. It would almost literally have been impossible for Obama to do worse through his first 50+ days, but you won't hear criticism on the Daily Show. They may rarely point out that their material is snake oil, but the vast majority of what I have seen of the show, and I have not seen this interview, is delivered in a way that it is expected to be taken as fact, even if comedic.
Keep in mind that I have zero apologies for CNBC. They're every bit as useless as MSNBC and CNN, and that's pretty damn useless.
