After a couple of false starts, I'm finally on my way to fulfill one of my life goals of obtaining a Master's degree. I always wanted to work in the video game industry, and if my studies go well in Digipen, I'm on route to achieve that. I have an interview for an internship at Microsoft in a few weeks, and if that goes well, I have increased my chances of getting into the industry.
A few years ago, I wanted to enter Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center program, but my plan to gain the materials needed for a good application didn't pan out (especially since New York City surprisingly didn't have many opportunities to build video game development skills). After realizing that my GRE scores were going to expire last year, I changed my plan and took a gamble at applying to Digipen. I'm happy where I'm at right now, even though achieving my goals is taking longer than I anticipated.
