It is stupid.

This will ruin her life. Personally I have more important things to worry about than if a 14 year old is ruining their own life, but this is an action of the state doing it to her. The only person she was hurting was herself to begin with, and now she needs punishment beyond that? By labeling her a sex offender at the age 14? Really?

This is the country that thought we could wage a war on drugs and win it though, so these kinds of things are to be expected I suppose.

I think it's kind of amazing this happened on Myspace to begin with. Generally if you don't make your Myspace private and you post fucked up pictures, they take you down pretty quickly. It's also insane to single this girl out when I'm sure nearly every girl that states they are 18 on that site is lying (for various reasons), and therefore she can't be the only one to have ever done this.

This story made me look up the sex offender registry to PA. I saw some dude I used to know who had a CD burner (back when nobody had that shit) who was a bit older than a friend and me and would burn us games. Molestation of children...haha.

No, the conviction was fairly recent. I forget exactly what it was but it reminded me of when I got my DUI and had to do driving classes there was a lady who was 86.
