I would suggest you reconcile these two statements, and fast.

Biff said everything meaningful, so I was able to comment on the meathead freely.

Biff said nothing meaningful. He made shit up, and speculated about the rest. It could have just failed. We know nothing as of yet and may never know.

Since we are giving opinions though I'll say this. I doubt we did shoot it down. It makes no sense politically. We don't need to posture. Everyone knows we can do this shit. Letting them succeed would be a very good way to get more countries to give a shit as well, not leaving us as the only defenders on the hill.

This is what covered it. Whether it was shot down or failed is immaterial, but it's hard to argue with Biff's logic. If you think you're going to get a news article about everything our military does, you're more naive than I thought.

You could argue that North Korea is so delusional that they didn't think we could shoot it down. There could be value in bursting that bubble if it existed. Who knows though? It's really a non-issue.

Ignoring all other consequences, the irony if Obama just took us to war with North Korea to get rid of the dictator would be life threatening for many liberals.

Not really no. You see at the very least we already know Korea has been pursuing a nuclear weapons program because they went ahead and detonated one, something Iraq never did. And now that they've attempted to launch a "satellite" into orbit there is no doubt that they are trying to obtain the means of delivering a weapon out of theatre.

Unless you mean that the liberals would be serving in the forces leading the charge into Pyongyang, then yes that would be life threatening.
