Avery was benched by Torts tonight, too. Weird thing is that, defensively, this is probably the best period the Rangers have played this series and they're down 2-0 after 1.

Washington had better pressure on the forecheck but Rangers sticks are still great defensively and they stand Washington up at the blue line or stick it away/turn it over there all the time, and yet Washington refuses to play dump and chase really.
