From Rangers Rants:
"Dubi needs a tetanus shot
That was the revelation from Jim Schoenfeld, that Capitals defenseman Shane Morrisonn bit Brandon Dubinsky at 15:03 of the second period. Both received two minutes for roughing but Dubinsky also got two minutes for boarding Mike Green and a 10-minute misconduct."
Oh, and Betts was hurt "signficantly" by Brashear's non-called elbow to the grill.
Nice officiating.
I'm mad at the fact that they toss a coach for sticking up for himself. What don't you get about that? I'm all for holding the security staff responsible, I thought that was apparant? My issue is the action taken against the side I feel used everything at their disposal. Fine the arena and owner while they're at it.
It should never have gotten to that point and the Rangers paid the price for the Caps lack of security and lack of attention to the Rangers specifically pointing out what the problem was. It's inexcusable, really.
This is un-fucking-believable. Since Versus carries tonight's game, it's blacked out on Center Ice and GameCenter Live. The assholes at the local Fox Sports channel made Versus black it out, so that they could cover it. Now they've lost their feed for the last ~15 minutes. Fuck those assholes.
The Devs are lucky to only be down 1 so far - Brodeur is keeping them in it.
I saw enough to know that. lol
It's not too surprising given the circumstances though. Survive the first and then play to win in the second and third on the road, especially in an elimination game.
I'll say this, though, out of the "late" franchises that have entered the NHL, the 'Canes have the best fans and their fans are better than a host of others that have been around a lot longer (Islanders, for example).
Yeah, they've come a long way since 2001. That's for sure. It's an odd phenomenon. It's almost as though the Duke/UNC/UC State fans are just glad to have a common team that they latched on and made it a college-like atmosphere.
These assholes are getting one hell of a letter from me tomorrow. First Tripp Tracey makes an ass of himself trying to jinx Brodeur. Now, this is seriously what I am seeing:
