Fuck I hope not. The last thing we need is another "defensive" minded loser.

so I'm reading the '08-'09 media guide and, adding this year's games into account, the Devils are 73-64-26-1 against the Rangers.
In the regular season.
Updated Devils all time playoff stats with 3W and 4L:
121W-102L, .542 winning pct.
I can't for the life of me find these numbers on the internet for the Rangers.
Fun fact: on the all-time postseason scoring list for the Devils, Martin Brodeur ranks 53rd out of all the players who have ever played a postseason game for the devils with 1 goal and 8 assists.
So far he's still ahead of Zajac, Rupp, Greene, Oduya, Mottau, Salvador, Zubrus, and Clarkson.
He's had a lot longer to do it though.
You're still ignoring your franchises complete history, which is horseshit, and you have a losing record against the Rangers. A new city and a name change doesn't change the fact that you were from KC and the Avalanche used to be the Nordiques. If it makes you feel better, though, roll with it.
So they gave Vancouver almost half the period as a power play straight. We're lucky to only be down one.
8 PP's so far through 2 periods for the Canucks. 2 of which were double minors. This is unbelievable.
When we were actually allowed to play 5-on-5 we came back from the 3 goal deficit. 1:30 left we get caught in their zone, 4-on-1 and they get the 4-3 gag. We pull Khabi and they get the empty netter. 2nd three goal comeback so far for us only to lose again :(
Horrific officiating. As usual.
The 3rd period was GREAT hockey (since they kept the whistles in their pockets), don't get me wrong. Up until then.......
You can love or hate Tortorella, but he has the stones to tell it like it is:
“I’m not sure how you’ll take it, but the best team won this series. They were a better team than us. That’s not running down our team. I’m just being honest with you. Do you find ways to upset teams? Yeah. When you’re an underdog there are always upsets. We had our opportunity. I felt Hank gave us the opportunity the way he played early in the series. And I will say, I felt Hank was part of the reason we didn’t, too. So he was great, but also struggled at key times, too. I’m not running him down. But I felt at 3-1 we needed to step up offensively and we didn’t and that’s my responsibility, getting it out of them, and it’s the players’ responsibility for not getting it done. Some of them weren’t able to, some of them couldn’t, some of them who I thought had the ability just didn’t.”
Gotta love Brendan (TSN):
Shanahan, the 40-year-old who joined the team in midseason, said he would wait before deciding to play another season.
"In the last couple of weeks I had my lip split open, my chin split open, I got stitches in my eyelid and I got hit so hard in Game 6 it actually knocked one of my false teeth out, and I loved every minute of it," he said. "I just expected it to go a lot longer."
