True story. Caps players (used to) live in mine and Josh's hometown. I forgot who lived right behind Josh, but I had Peter Bondra and Kevin Hatcher as neighbors just around the corner.
Bondra was cool, but Hatcher was even cooler for letting the kids ride with him on his motorcyle around the neighborhood (with the parents' permission, of course). I also have a hockey stick autographed by Dino Ciccarelli and Mike Ridley.
After getting spanked by the Wings in the 98 Stanley Cup finals and the dismantilng of the team after that, I switched mainly to football. However, after last year's complete turnaround and this year's push into the playoffs, I'm starting to get back into it again. Hockey is a great sport that I'm starting to appreciate it more now that I'm older. That and because my team isn't complete horse shit :P
