I'm not competing with you and it's fine that you're a (now) verbal Caps fan. Doesn't change the fact that at least 5 people in this thread are clearly more into the NHL than you are and that you only started posting about the NHL well into the playoffs.

As for the Islanders, well the owner's name says it all. Mr. Dick, err Wang should've done his homework on the sport before investing in one of the worst franchises in the past 20 yrs. Only smart thing Wang did was get a starting goalie for a decade at an affordable yearly salary. Hey, at least Yashin is still producing, oh wait....

Well, it was 6 on 4, so I'm guessing they didn't want to give up an outlet pass on the perimeter/shot up top. Sick goal by Crosby though. Varly never saw it.

Cool to see how both Crosby and Ovie got their hat tricks. Crosby's 3 came from deflections right in front of Varlamov, while Ovie's were all rifle shots just inside the blue line. This rivalry will be great for the NHL, especially with performances like that from its two poster boys.

No dick measuring - if you'll notice most, if not all, of my comparisons were to people other than me in the NHL thread(s). Sarcasm doesn't work on message boards - it never has.
