In Hasbro's marketing hell.
In the comic Cobra-La was non-existant. I'm sure KB Blacklion can confirm. He's a diehard and is about to post his review.

Well l feel obligated to contribute to the most enticipated event thus far in 09...to me. To put it simple, GI JOKE : RIDICULOUS was painful to watch in so many ways l don't know where to begin. A must see for die hards to be shocked that in 20 yrs they didn't change a thing except the artists, which was gorgeous. The story was everywhere, rushed, and incomplete. No character development of the FIVE Joes used! There is easily a 200 man roster to GI JOE and only see 15 of em and only use maybe half of them! Cobra was not impressive and used poorly throughout. I feel maybe a scheme of this magnitude might require a bit more "security" on a certain THREE locations may benefit the cause. l could go on for hours about the problems. The story had so many things going on and most of the scenarios where never shown or even mentioned. Example, Who was Major Bludd betraying Cobra to? How long? Who is Sebatian Bludd really? And why didn't l see the exection? Example, Why was Scarlett having to choose between Duke and Snake Eyes? Fans would know but how would a noob know this? They have to think of things like backstory noobs do not know about. Call it knitpicking, l call it " a rushed, sloppy, and incomplete story". And a piece of advise to the writer, if your going to make a story about weapon of that magnitude and an enemy who doesn't know l have it, wouldn't you just park it over Washington D.C. or even smarter...over G.I. Joe HQ! Who cares about Moscow?....seriously.
YO JOE!
p.s. I am VERY pleased though to see my favorite Cobra, Firefly walked away cool as the other side of the pillow. ")
I'm curious, is Snake Eyes, during his drop, by chance listening to "She's Gone" by Hall & Oates? hmmm Well if that's track 1 on the iPod shuffle, then whatcha think might be there too?
Oh, do shut up.
The nerd rage I just read makes me lol hard. You and Advocate are room mates? The house must ooze hate.
Fun fact, the original GI Joe was not as good as you keep telling yourself it was.
This is 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% true. I just had a conversation with the owner of my LCS about GI Joe and Transformers and we both came to same conclusion. The old shows were comercials for toys and not to be taken as high literature.
Was Resolute better than the GI Joe comic? Marvel and Devil's Due run?
Probably? There is a resolute comic out now, right?
I don't think so. If there is ... Ellis is NOT writing that.
