So, yeah,written by Warren Ellis- the first two episodes are up at Adult Swim with Part 3 up on Monday and all of these currently watchable on Youtube.

Witness Snake-Eyes slicing through Cobra like he should have been back in the 80's, Firefly being sneaky, and a Joe actually dying.

These are pretty awesome.We need more than 10 and more than 5 minutes long...maybe if these catch on and the movie doesnt shit all over the GI Joe name...

Oh, and if Roadblock asks a Cobra if they want a Body Massage or if Blow Torch asks for a Porkchop Sandwich, I will lose it....

Wow I had no idea they were making this. I watched the first one, but ill just wait to watch the full movie. Seems excellent. Thanks for the heads up. I havent even followed the live action movie ever since they announced the director. I know its gonna be trash.

IIRC, the newer Joe comic series turned Dial Tone into a woman and the character is rumored to be a woman in the upcoming film, too. People seem to be more upset that Ripcord was changed to be black which matches with the new film, as well, since Marlon Wayans plays the role. A whole lot of fuss about nothing, if you ask me. The Joe team needs more women anyway. All they had before was Scarlett, Lady Jayne, Cover Girl, and Jinx.

I appreciate the constant killing of name characters in this series.

Everything was epic with this series until Hasbro cheaped out at the end. Where the fuck are the legions of soldiers, weapons, and vehicles in Cobra's GOD DAMN HOMETOWN!?!? A few handfuls of troopers, some new HISS Tanks, maybe four new Flight Pods, and that's all these people have to take down Joe in their GOD DAMN HOMETOWN of 25+ years!?

So the movie went down hill after Zartan's appearance. I mean what the fuck? Handguns versus Automatic weapons. Duke and Scarlett were standing in the fucking middle of GOD DAMN ROOM and those fucks killed like 10 guys? And all the Alley Vipers were able to do was fucking SCRATCH Duke? SERIOUS? Also, what the fuck was the point of Flint saying there will be major counter survelliance at the base. When all it took was tyo lock pick the security panel and shoot a gas main. JESUS. Oh and how in the FUCK can Duke fucking change the location when he was FUCKING LOCKED OUT OF THE GOD DAMN SYSTEM.

Oh and like Nirvana said ... Cobra's hometown, HOME FUCKING BASE and all they had were 4 Battle Pods, 2 Hiss Tanks, and like 20 Vipers? WHAT ABOUT THE GOD DAMN RATTLERS, BATS?, THE OTHER FUCKING COBRA AGENTS ... FIREFLY who we all say ONCE AT THE FUCKING BEGINNING, Oh Tomax and Zamont, The Dreadnaughts, THE GOD DAMN CRIMSON FUCKING GUARD, OH OH OH FANGS ... yeah I'm pissed.

You guys are way too critical (Yes, I recognize the irony here). This effort was 10x better than I thought it would be. Sure there are holes, but I guarantee it was better than the live action version will be.

Oh, there's no doubt that this kicks the live action movie's ass around the block a few dozen times. Still, you really need a more solid end battle after all that build up. Cobra took out the U.S.S. FLAGG and Moscow for crying out loud. Even with Cobra Island decommissioned; Cobra had built a second HAARP, two particle cannons, and a network of Stratelites. With all of this effort, Cobra can't mount a major offensive in their hometown where Cobra has always been? I call shenanigans!

Also: I agree this is 10x better than the live action. If anyone read the script when it was up a few months ago ... yeah the revised one ... THIS MOVIE IS WAY BETTER.

Well l feel obligated to contribute to the most enticipated event thus far in 09...to me. To put it simple, GI JOKE : RIDICULOUS was painful to watch in so many ways l don't know where to begin. A must see for die hards to be shocked that in 20 yrs they didn't change a thing except the artists, which was gorgeous. The story was everywhere, rushed, and incomplete. No character development of the FIVE Joes used! There is easily a 200 man roster to GI JOE and only see 15 of em and only use maybe half of them! Cobra was not impressive and used poorly throughout. I feel maybe a scheme of this magnitude might require a bit more "security" on a certain THREE locations may benefit the cause. l could go on for hours about the problems. The story had so many things going on and most of the scenarios where never shown or even mentioned. Example, Who was Major Bludd betraying Cobra to? How long? Who is Sebatian Bludd really? And why didn't l see the exection? Example, Why was Scarlett having to choose between Duke and Snake Eyes? Fans would know but how would a noob know this? They have to think of things like backstory noobs do not know about. Call it knitpicking, l call it " a rushed, sloppy, and incomplete story". And a piece of advise to the writer, if your going to make a story about weapon of that magnitude and an enemy who doesn't know l have it, wouldn't you just park it over Washington D.C. or even smarter...over G.I. Joe HQ! Who cares about Moscow?....seriously.

It was an hour's worth of content and it was pretty good. Its a make believe fantasy world where make believe fantasy shit happens.

Yeah,slightly disappointed with the episodes past the Zartan reveal.It seemed like it just rushed things a little too much and fell apart past that.This series probably would have fared better if Ennis didnt feel the need to wrap it up after 10.
I had the same gripes most of you did with Cobra bungling up too much for my liking in the end (no different from the old series-just....people were actually getting shot, so I expected, them to perform differently with no handicap :P ),and Storm Shadow got whupped a little to easily.
But, I had no idea this was even coming out, so was cool to see some kind of re-envisioning of the series that was done better than I thought it would be.Not bad for an effort that came out of nowhere.
I think KB needs to not be so hard on this and realize that he got to watch a new GI Joe series that didnt involve them running around in brightly colored bio suits fighting mutant cobra ninjas. This was cool for what it was.

Its not that I'm being too critical, its that it was my fav growing up and l was excited when l heard it was coming. I guess with Adult Swim and crucial animation behind it, l was expecting the use of more characters, vehicles, and maybe tie up some loose ends it left. l like how they gave some characters newer looks too especially Gung Ho.

Like that one episode where you see the Cobra gym. Seeing a bunch of people with cobra helmets and mask on, running in gym shorts, is high comedy.
