I got drunk and licked a subway pole last night, should I be worried?
I woke up with a sore throat this morning and getting all the symptoms of a cold. I just visited my mom and dad's last week when they both had a cold. So my mom's logical conclusion is I have this H1N1 virus.
Guh.
It was kind of a perfect storm when it hit, with a world war pushing infected troops across the world in a time when there was very little treatment available. Now days we have a much better understanding of such viral outbreaks and have better care for those who do catch something. For some perspective, its estimated that the Spanish flu wiped out as much as 5% of the entire human population in a single pandemic.Quote:
