its not "really" an art book, they combined it as the case; it has an embossed type cover, some pages of art at the front, a thicker stock page which holds the soundtrack, and a few more pages, and a plastic double disc slot on the back cover to hold the game discs

quick impression: played about 30 mins yesterday, and man is moving through the swamp a chore. Add the QTE grabbing hands on top of that ,and its an absolute beating. other than that, the environments are gorgeous and the gameplay is pretty slick once you get used to it.

Ah, ok. I'm not missing much then.

Yeah, the swamp sucks but you will be out of it pretty quickly. I'm a good way into chapter 3 and there hasn't been anything that comes close to slowing your progress down the way that swam did.

No joke. Do yourself a favor and seek out Dracula Battle Perfect Selection and Dracula New Classics (Dracula Battle Perfect Selection Vol 2 is optional). It's butt rawk. It's new wave orchestral classic. It's fuckin' awesome.

I got to troll castle and I swear the framerate is a lot smoother than the rest of the game. Wtf?

Got the PS3 version from Gamefly today - enjoyed this way more than I was expecting to after seeing GT's video review of it. The controls are slick, the environments are gorgeous both in-game and in cutscenes. The swamp is a pain in the ass, and I hate the QTEs in it, but when you're not doing that, it's a lot of fun. Can't wait to get to the Shadow of the Colossus-esque boss battle that I saw in the GT review.

The swamp QTEs only happen if you get caught by the bad things in the mud BTW, and that's only one level early on, and one in like chapter 6 that's had that mechanic so far. However, there is a timing based QTE-ish thing on many actions, be it opening up a gate with the stake, or taming a warg, or ripping an axearmors heart out. So get used to that. You can press any action button, but you need to learn the timing.
