Also of note, is that for all timing based qte's any face button will do, it is just about reaction speed. Only the "mash this button" events require you to hit a certain button and those have been really generous in their window of execution so far.

I actually forgot about those. They're pretty rare unless you suck. :p

I'm not so sure about this. Every time I've tried to use X or O I've failed the non-specific button QTE's. Only Square or Triangle have gotten them to work.

Now, do you press the button before the circles come together or right when they do?

Right when they do, and I know X works, because that is what I always use.

You can press the button at any point after the shrinking circle is within the outline of the stationary one. The only tricky thing about them is being in a combo when they start and hitting a button right at the beginning of it.

So I'm not particularly thrilled with this so far. The exploration or whatever you want to call the running through linear overly shadowy areas and ledge climbing/swinging is pretty jerky and rough. Combat is solid apart from the camera being kind of too far away and/or too low to the ground to give you a good idea of what's around you (lol@attempting to pick up grenades in some of those fights).

Also, roll and block on the same button? UGH. Directional analog rolling is perfect in these games, see also: DMC style hold block + press jump and a direction to roll.

I was just about to mention that this could have used more polish. At least on the PS3 the graphics seem very.....I dunno. Chunky? Like the Uncharted games. You know there's potential but it seems off. Maybe it's the resolution. I'm also not fond of the roll/block being on the same buttons.
