OMG please tell me it's Patrick Stewart's character who seems to be all buddy buddy in the trailers HEY GUESS WHAT I'M BAD, DUDE.
Just played the demo and I was blown away. Purchase for sure. Just as soon as I am done with Fallout: New Vegas, Castlevania should be about 25 bucks by then!
Is it worth it to go back to each chapter and do the challenges, like in terms of getting stuff (besides xp)? I did the first few and then just kept going to each new level, but if I'm missing out on something cool I'd go back and try them out.
Finally got to play the demo and it has me convinced to wait for this to be dirt cheap.
I was pretty underwhelmed by the demo. To me it felt really, generic I guess. I felt you could have dropped Kratos into the demo, and outside of them not talking about Greek gods, he would have fit perfectly. It could be different in the final game, but the demo didn't give off that feeling. The game I played, that the demo represented, isn't worth 60 bucks to me. When you also add in that I've been burned 3 times now on 3D Castlevania games, and this demo really needed to wow me to sell it at full price. That just didn't happen so I'll wait for the inevitable price collapse.
The game really is good, played a bunch more tonight and it just (as everyone has said) keeps getting better the more you play. I doubt you'd feel burned paying full price for this game, then again if you have other shit to play you won't hate yourself for waiting till it goes down. But you should for sure get it at some point.
