The Death Bat (Gobanz (ゴーバンス) in Japan), is the third boss of Castlevania: The Adventure. It is an amalgamation of a human, a bat, a bird or pterosaur, and a skeleton. It also resembles a Slogra with wings. In the American and European manuals, Gobanz is not called a boss, and his name was used in Zeldo. Death Bat is a mistranslation of the Death Bird enemy.
