I always hear about final draft, some people live and breathe by it.

$100 maybe?
$200 I'll keep using Word and bitch.
EDIT: it's $249
There's a Word plug-in I used a while back. It was ok. Sucky thing is though that once I tried out Final Draft...it wasn't much better :(
These programs rely on you to insert commands everytime you write a line. You're better off writing it in a notebook or something and then transferring it to those programs. The benefit of using Final Draft is that it's the standard.

write like the bbc do
How about

My friend uses it, and he says it's pretty decent. It comes with examples and such, but screen writing isn't really my flavor so you'll have to try it yourself!
Get a typewriter.
celtx is fucking awesome, I'd pay out my ass for it if i had to.
No kidding. Holy shit B-Ri, thanks for re-linking that.
I prefer Final Draft slightly, but I would not pay $200+ for it when CeltX is ALMOST as good and totally free (and open source!). CeltX also has other fun features that may help you be organized.
Yeah. This program is insanely useful! Thanks FlashhBang bot!
I also want to mention Hitchcock for the iPhone. Another highly useful tool. It has some setbacks, but for a first version, it's amazing.
For film making, Celtx is awesome because you can use it for the majority, if not all of your pre-production. You can break down each scene to keep track of locations, characters, props, effects etc, you can attach concept art and music (infact you can attach any file), and everything is neatly cataloged automatically. You even have bio pages for all of your characters so you can really flesh them out.
