Oh yeah, Razor... THIS is the one I have. Never had a problem with it. Also in BLACK.

Remember that Simpsons episode when Bart thought Aunt Selma's/Patty's nosehair trimmer was an astronaut's toothbrush?
That was the lol.
I spent 10.50 on 5 cartridge blades today, and those are the cheap kind. Fuck this shit, seriously.
that conair is some cheap plastic shit
I've been using it for 3-4 years now and it gets the job done perfectly every time. I see nose hairs, use it and then no longer see nose hairs... no pain, no irritation. What more can you ask for? also... it does look like a cheap plastic piece of shit, that's the magic of it.
For $8, I'm buying.
I have a Norelco beard and nose trimmer with an attachment that looks exactly like that and it works like shit.
I also had a non powered twist nose trimmer that was also equally worthless. Now I just go up in there with some small surgical scissors.
Here is the report from my recent shaving experience:
I purchased this stuff the other day from Pasteur Pharmacy in Manhattan:
Razor: Merkur 38C
Blades: Derby Extra
Shaving Cream: Taylor of Bond Street - Avocado
Brush: Omega Pura Setola
Post Shave: Neutrogena Razor Defence
Extra Stuff:
Styptic Pencil
Bowl (bought this at target)
Kettle (bought this at target)
I was very pleased with the final result, all the experts agree that you should only do one pass with the grain when shaving like this for the first time, and this is what I did, and I think the shave came out pretty good for only a single pass.
I did not slice my face to shreds either, there was only two little nicks on my chin, which I did not notice until later. My face did not feel irritated either, instead it felt smooth and refreshed for the rest of the day. This was surprising, and something that I am not used to feeling with regular shaving methods.
My first shave went pretty well, there were some hiccups along the way though. One of the main issues I had was that my sink doesn't hold water, although the plug is down, the water still seeps through, this is pretty annoying. My lather could use a lot of improvement as well. There is a definite technique to shaving like this, and you learn it as you go along. When you do it wrong, you feel it. At one point I made a pass with the razor and I saw all these flakes come off my face, I thought that I had sliced a layer of skin off or something, but it turns out that the cream had merely begun to dry, and reaplying more cream with the brush really helped out.
When you do it right its amazing how smooth the razor glides on your face, there isn't that "tugging" sensation you feel with regular cartridge blades.
I also did the whole nine yards for this shave, hot towel and all. If you look at the list of stuff I bought you'll see that I got a kettle, my apartment's water can get pretty hot, but not as hot as I wanted it, this is were the kettle comes in. The bowl absorbs a lot of heat, so the more heat you have the better.
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this, and for the first time in my life I can honestly say that I am looking forward to the next time I shave.
