We've seen your creative output in the drawing thread you started. You should be thankful the internet came around.

I'd absolutely care about the shutting down of libraries. The internet is a wonderful resource but it could never replace a library unless it had way more full texts than it does.
Librarians are also massively helpful creatures.
Also I just like libraries. I like to chill in one with a book for a few hours.
yes, shit on the turtle drawings of a 10 year old. You're a big man cow.
A big man.
Real talk.
wow
I hope you have fun tomorrow when half the board shits on your head.
Libraries are important because they offer a wealth of information that can be not found online. The internet is still very limited in what you can find on it. It is actually pretty hard to find good information on doing anything worthwhile online that isn't something like baking a cake or building a DDR pad. It is also pretty hard to find legal copies of fiction.
It also offers all of these things free (along with the internet) to many poor people that can not afford computers or the internet. They allow the poor to have access to free magazines, papers, computes, and the internet.
There is also something to be said for having a paper copy of something. To be honest, there are days I really wish the internet would go away. When I'm working on a physical project, I'd much rather have a nice work bench and a good reference book than laptop full of ill gotten pdfs.
I do often get my friend to just print out big ass books at his office and stick them in a binder for me. It's not a bad way to steal books. I hate reading .pdfs on a screen.
maybe it is something subconscience because we all learned to read with books, but I still prefer books for learning complicated things. The only exception is Wikipedia. But Wikipedia is very to the point.
I like libraries.
The internet's great if you want secondhand information. If it's a subject I care about, I'd much rather get it from the source.
Libraries are pretty great for that!
Also: free audiobooks, dvd rentals, graphic novels, and thousands of books I can read without having to throw down a penny for.
All internet all the time is just ig'nant. Read a motherfuckin' book.
Back when people needed the Leonard Maltin movie guide.
I often think of what a pre-internet collegiate experience would be like. No aim, no online journal databases. Doing actual book research and fact checking, spell checking, and typing papers would be a gargantuan bitch.
