I completely forgot to mention this earlier! When I was turning the corner from Lombard onto Monroe on the way to band practice earler, three unmarked cars came screaming down the road in the wrong direction, displayed an AMAZING example of synchronized diagonal parking, then six plainclothes cops in bulletproof vests jumped out and ran the fuck up on the corner house with hands on guns and a serious sense of purpose.

I didn't stick around to see what happened next, but I'm betting it had something to do with drugs! When I turned the corner two more cops were sprinting up the sidewalk. Late to the party.

Because of the crazy white guy on rollerblades, and stunts like this, I think I should find a different route to practice...
