*I don't think this thread exists and I'm not searching for it.*

I like to travel and I know others have experience too. Who better to trust than us and why not start a master thread of places to stay, eat and see (Hotels, Bars, Museums)?

I'll update as needed.

I'll be in San Diego at the end of the month and I have on day to check out a beach, any suggestions?

Mesa Verde - The only national park that preserves a man-made site (vs nature). It is truly educational and awesome. It is abit out of the way but well worth the travel time. I think I have some pictures I took when I was there and I will post them up when I can find them.

What part of SD are you going to be in? If you're in downtown, drive up a few miles on the I-5 and check out La Jolla shores. Or if you're feeling adventerous, drive up further to Encinitas and hit up Moon Light Beach.

I'm coming into town for CC, our hotel is near Mission Beach but we are leaving Phoenix and heading straight to a beach because I don't think check in at our hotel is until 3 or so.

The obvious answer is why not just go to Mission Beach but we went last year and want to try something new.

Like Rhydant said, La Jolla is very nice, and is about 5 miles north of mission beach (just north of the 8 off the 5 freeway).
