Messing with monitor Clock

So my monitor flickers and I want to make it stop. It's an Acer lcd. I go into the display management software that came with it and mess with the focus and clock, but I can't get the flicker to stop on any of the settings in it. Is there a way to fuck with the clock in another way?

I suggest 'less caffeine", first off. How's it flickering exactly?

also try dvi if you can, that's all digital and you don't have to worry about messing with the clock shit

It's only about a year old. I'm not sure if I have dvi connections on my pc, but I'll certainly check!

It seems like I want to change the hertz on my display to something higher than 60, but it won't let me. in the advanced section of display in the control panel there's the screen refresh rate and a dropdown menu. But the only option is the 60 hz one. There aren't any other options...

powerstrip will let you set anything you'd like.

I don't know what that means.

60hz is optimal for lcd, because it doesn't refresh the same way a crt does

your display is probably just going bad or something which is why it's flickering all over the joint
