I don't have a university degree.
I have the education, but trying to get my program grandfathered became more of a hassle than I was willing to deal with.
I do have a college diploma, though.
BA in secondary education in English, TESOL (1997) and MA in applied linguistics (2001), both from Inter American University, PR.
I hope to start my Ed.D within the next year or two, after my wife finishes her MA and the kids are a bit bigger.
Went to college, dropped out when I got a very good job. Currently going back to school to finish my BA and contemplating going further with my degree afterwards. I mean, why not? It's never too late to further your education.
BTW, my gf has her Masters in Psychology and is going for her PhD. I suppose her hard work is in part my inspiration for going back to finish my degree.
BTW, this thread appears to be disproving Biff's claim that 80% of TNL doesn't have a degree. Please stop taking his fucking bait, you faggots.
BA, Political Science. Not incredibly useful in and of itself (see earlier posts about overinflation of the value of education), but it sets me up pretty well for when I pursue graduate studies next year. Plus if all else fails, I can pretty much always fall back on teaching or something.
Where'd you go? ODU? ODU I bet.
B.A. in Psychology and Political Science.
J.D. in Bullshitting.
Unfortunately, no. I went to Louisiana Tech because that's what was closest to where my employer had me positioned at the time. If I had planned to top out at the BA level, the association might bother me. But since I'm really only using my Bachelor's as a stepping stone to a higher degree, I got over any such stigma.
I'm torn between ODU and Virginia Tech for my Master's, since I'm going to be in Korea next year and both schools have really good distance learning programs for graduate studies. But then, I still have some time to think about it.
