My man Lendale gave up tequila for TWO carries!? That's cold!
Sent out a few trade offers, lets make a deal folks, I'm loaded at WR/TE right now and hurting at RB.
If any of ya want to chat hit me up via aim/msn. Or if anyone else has an RB they're looking to deal lets talk.
...were you actually serious about that offer bbobb?
Completely.
Seriously, the coaching staff needs to get him some more carries.
Sure, Chris Johnson can run all over the shitty teams, but against the good teams, he'll usually only break one 30+ run per game and the rest are good for a yard or two max.
LenDale, meanwhile, gets you 3-4 yards every time he carries the ball, which is what keeps you out of the third and longs and prevents all the three-and-outs that Tennesse has had lately.
The 60-40 timeshare they had going last year was much better for the offense than the 80-20 garbage they've been pulling lately.
Screw that, I'm 3-1 w/the 80-20 split!
How's S-Jax doing? (I traded CJ for S-Jax...yes!)
ok. Advocate is really starting to fuck up this league.
So far he has dropped Knowshon Moreno, Steve Smith, and, to a lesser effect, Kellen Winslow. Now he agrees to trade Marion Barber for a pile of trash. The trade looks even until you remember that Barber missed all of one game and parts of two others and still is the highest scorer in the trade.
I want others' opinions, but my gut says this one cannot go through. This is the Biff/Rico trade from last year all over again. People who don't know how to play the fucking game can't be allowed to ruin the league.
I'm involved in the trade, but it's honestly your call, remember we went through this in the pre-season about it being all you on trades, no league votes on it. And I'm obviously not going to cry about shit if you say no, we'll just go back and try to hash out something you'll ok I guess.
I think it's fairly balanced in the sense that Advo gets a very solid boost at WR and I get a RB boost. And Barber is coming back to a timeshare with Choice, so it's not like he's a huge huge boon.
I'm not putting it to a vote. I just would like to see how other owners see it.
This is my take:
- Barber is unquestionably better and a larger part of his team's offense than Jones. Barber will probably double Jones in points by year-end if they both stay healthy.
- Ward is aging and in a declining role with the Steelers. Santonio Holmes is the future and has essentially identical points to Ward right now. On the other hand, Berrian is just getting comfortable with Favre and is likely to see his production increase from here on out.
I guess what I am saying is that it is a brilliant trade for bbobb.... just perhaps too brilliant.
