I do think that Error got by far the better deal in his trade, but I couldn't say it's completely unfair.
Actually, strike that, considering that Meach already has a QB of damn near the same level as Roth, that trade is off.

No, I let that one go through, since Geo is taking risk in a couple of ways:
1. That wells actually gets the ball when it matters. He hasn't so far this season.
2. That Gonzalez ever really gets healthy and has an impact. He's not exactly Reggie Wayne behind Marvin Harrison.
I vetoed the Williams and Austin for Roethlisberger one. As I put in the message to Error and Meach, that one looks like the Biff/Rico trade from last year all over again. Meach actually proposed it but offered too much. If the draft were today, Ricky Williams likely goes in round 1 as a top 12 RB. Austin goes in round 2 or 3 as a top 12 WR. There are a very limited number of guys that warrant a #1 and a #2/3, and they are top 5 picks like Adrian Peterson. The fact that Austin was on the waiver wire doesn't matter any more. It's the present value that matters, and it's too much.
edit: And for the record, I slept on the decision. I was very close to vetoing it late last night but wanted to give it some more thought.
I can't disagree with that, I guess. There's still two hours or so, maybe Error and Meach can re-work that deal to get it right.
Yeah, I'm still going to beat your ass.
OK Yoshi, for the record I didn't recieve any message. That out of the way, I disagree with you regarding the value you're placing on Rofl but you're the commish, so as they say, by your command.
Wait, really? Can you seriously say you think Roeth is even a first rounder let alone a top 5 pick?
QBs are valuable in our league, yes, (overvalued is what I like to say) but there's still only maybe 2-3 QBs who are 1st rounders.
Until 2 weeks ago Rofl hadn't put up less than 30 points, and most of them had been in the high 30s with 2 40 point games. If we're judging Austin based on his right now value then I think we also have to judge Rofl.
Either way I'm not going to throw a fit. Yoshi thinks its a bad trade then so be it. I just have to figure out how to get rid of Young now that I have a backup QB again.
