The Falcon has a smaller GPU, and the new Jasper models have a smaller GPU and CPU. MS shouldn't have advertised the 360 standing vertically, because when the 360 is vertical it's air intake fan is completely blocked. The DVD drive is also not designed to function vertically. I have to give Nintendo credit for the awesome DVD drive on the Wii.

My first 360 (a gift from my g/f in December 2006) gave me disc read errors immediately so I swapped it at the store for another one. That one gave me the RROD in November 2007, so I used my Circuit City replacement plan to get a Falcon. The Falcon has served me well since then *knock on wood*.

I've been trying to remove my credit card from my live account for years now. When I click "remove" on the Xbox website it says that I can't because it's scheduled to auto-renew in 2011.
