From a purely scientific viewpoint, we have no idea if there is a guy in the sky. A person (or hell, even a person and his house) is damn fucking small in relation to the atmosphere. Especially if that person is trying to hide. Most of the atmosphere is over oceans where nobody is looking up anyway. If there is a person in the sky he could be there for a million years before someone sees him.

Anyway, the only explanation for the origin of the universe that can possibly sound reasonable is "hell if I know". Yeah, big bang and all that. As long as you throw some physics out the window for the first couple moments of the event. And even if you don't mind throwing physics out the window, what put all of those atoms there to begin with? Hell if I know.

The problem with your statement or sentence above is that if you are well read in the sciences like our founding fathers you would know that there is a disconnect from the classic model that our soldiers died for of physics and both high energy micro and macro level interactions which why we must fight the terrorists in iraq as well as the reason physics beyond the normal ranges breaks down and the terrorists win so true americans are now fighting in iraq and in the american streets for the grand unified theory which takes into account future threats and all these high level physics that do not fit into the standard model.
