I use my laptop as a wireless adapter for my 360, but for some reason if I turn off my 360 and then later turn it on again without also rebooting my laptop the 360 can't connect to Xbox Live. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

are you using a static or dynamic dhcp address
I'd go with static myself
Does your laptop have a hotkey for disabling the wireless adapter? Smack that, then smack it again. You shouldn't have to reboot.
Weird. B-question: why don't you plug the 360 into the router in the first place? I assume your cable box/modem are in the vicinity of the television. I realize this is not always the case.
The router and 360 are on different floors. I just tried hooking the 360 to my squeezebox (internet radio) and it connects to live immediately using the squeezebox as a wireless adapter, however it won't connect to my PC for media sharing now. When I test the connection it says it can't find the PC.
you're probably better off just buying a G bridge for your 360 instead of fandangling ICS with your laptop anyway, bridges are dirt cheap and work just like wifi adapters
edit: either way, set your 360's ip address to something specific, then tie your lan to the wlan on your laptop via ICS, and you should be good to go

I won't sell it for less than what it sells for other places if that is what you are asking me.
