Yet another reason why this whole thing is stupid. I feel the same way about the Winter Classic as I do about the European games: If these dumb fucks want to do it, keep the Devils out of it.
Pretty shit game happening tonight. Maybe Lemaire will wake up and change the lines. The offense hasn't been there since Marty broke the record, and it was the next game v. Washington where the lines changed to include a serious checking line with Langenbrunner on it. I don't want to hear any excuses about being tired either.
They should give Marty a game off here and there. Or play the Penguins every night.

I hope before the regular season is over we get to see the full Devils lineup. We're still hurting at center, Niedermayer is a bust imo because Zubrus is already a bust (if you can figure out what I mean, more power to you) so maybe we'll trade for another center before we even get one game in with the full lineup.
The Devils play like shit against the west, and the only reason that seems logical is that they don't get up for those games. Take a look at their records:
