Man the media has turned on Cormier. From being the captain of Team Canada to maybe a decent 3rd liner.

Devils fleeced the Thrashers, and if that's all it took to grab Kovalchuk I'm pissed the Oilers didn't take him off their hands.

WTF would the Oiler need Kovalchuk for 2 months for? Ticket sales? I guess NJ thinks they have a decent shot @ the Finals. Interesting to see how this turns out.

Oh my god and we gave up the awful contract that was O'Dumbass! And we lost Bergfors but I can deal with that, that's probably the best asset given up. Cormier was a blow though, but that suspension probably soured Lou.

This is the fucking best thing. THE BEST THING.

Oduya was one of the worst contracts on the team. He had a ridiculous year when he turned UFA and got rewarded and turned back into shit this year. Fuck him. When Martin comes back we won't need him. Greene's stepped into the role.

I'd rather have gotten rid of say, Pando and Mottau, but whatever. 2 scoring lines now, for real for real.

I'm not saying it would have made sense, but at that price why the hell not, from the sound of it Atlanta might have been dumb enough to take the contracts we're trying to dump.

lol If Mottau would have gone, I would have had a permanent, Joker-like smile.

This seems like a small thing, but to me it's a sign of a larger gap in standards, professionalism, and class between Atlanta and New Jersey:

I had to wear a tie for public high school hockey. I can't believe some NHL teams don't wear them.

Professional standards might be lax in Atlanta because nobody wants to play there.
