TNL's collective memory of IP is perfectly summed up in this one thread.
Airbags deployed.
I didn't say this is the ONLY thread that sums up IP.
So is Buttplant the internet scapegoat? That's what I seem to be getting here.
No. I <3 IP, but the last few replies from him seem to be telling them they don't know the answer. Yet he does.
Oh come on, napalm made a reply based on animals having souls.
There is nothing paranormal about these phenomena. These are the imperfect ways our brain interpret the world. The divide between consciousness and memory are much more fluid then how we normally think of them. As a result the brain sometimes mistakenly interprets stimuli as a memory, which we often attribute to a dream in our attempt to make sense of the experience.
Similarly, your dreams are not somehow magically precognitive. We just like to interpret things as being related when really they are not. If you have a dream about a plan crash and 2 days later A PLANE CRASHES you are not clairvoyant, it was just a coincidence. When you think about how many dreams you have in a lifetime (most people with a normal sleep pattern have well over 100 a night) the odds that you will dream things that actually happen are pretty good. This is especially true if you dream about doing something like going to Dollywood and later you go to Dollywood. Guess what, your chances of going to Dollywood eventually are pretty damn high, whether or not you had that dream.
Anybody who genuinely thinks these things are somehow paranormal is a fucking idiot.
Do you have any actual examples of this happening? This seems like the sort of thing that people give as common wisdom that there isn't actually any truth to. I cannot seem to find any specific references to it online at least.
