I admire your appreciation for BC2, but even if it were able to hold KZ2's jockstrap, which is doubtful, the fact that a likely superior PC version will exist eliminates it from the consideration of best console FPS ever. There's demos of both versions, and I didn't find the PC version superior myself, in either looks or controls. It's not a game about HEADSHOT HEADSHOT HEADSHOT as much as it is working as a team to stuff the other team. I'd even give the 360 version the edge since people are more likely to have headsets, and coordinate their efforts. Unlike every Halo game ever, lonewolfing things doesn't get you far in BC2.Quote:

You can lonewolf for about 10minutes in Halo, then you die. If all you do is Lonewolf your team will lose. I remember plenty of times saving other peoples behinds in Halo and them saving mine. Coordination is a major key in Halo ... especially Oddball or Capture the Flag in Waterworks.
You can do whatever you want in any game if you're way better than the people you're playing with, but it doesn't mean anything. While there aren't strict roles in Halo, any given team will usually have slayers, objective, and support players. For every flashy overkill there's good teamwork setting it up with a teamshot or just good cover fire leading to a nice flank. I guess most people think having shields = being able to rambo, but it just means that teamwork (calling out + teamshot, as well as positioning) is more important since focus-firing is that much more valuable.
I admit to not having played a ton of Halo online (say 40-50 hours between 2 and 3), but I've never seen this. There's usually one played that's significantly better than anyone else playing, and whichever team he's on always wins. I've never seen teamwork actually matter all that much, even in objective based games. While in class based games, or even something like Unreal Tournament series, being a team player seemed to matter a whole lot more.Quote:
