Why? Firefight is awesome.
Yeah, seriously, Firefight is so much fucking fun.
Why do you have unlimited lives in firefight now? Whats the point? Remember being the last one standing in ODST, barely beating the wave, then getting re-enforcements? Yeah gone, unless you do custom match but who does those? FF reach is lame.
My guess is, it's so people don't abuse getting credits in matchmaking Firefight. It would be WAY too easy to level up with waves of enemies in Firefight otherwise. It's still a shitload of fun, and I would only want to play firefight for an hour+ with my friends anyways, so only having it in custom games isn't a big deal at all.
Played a bunch of Rocket Fight Firefight last night with Truck and some friends and we found out that: Unlimited Ammo Rockets + Jetpacks + Firefight = HolyfuckingshitFUN!
The first time we discovered it there was nothing but hysterical laughter over the headsets for like 5 minutes.
I like that FF has a definite end and goal now rather than being endless - but with unlimited lives there is no tension or urgency at all. If you can never lose whats the point? Mindlessly murdering AI gets old quick.
I uploaded some shit I made in forge. The best map is Warter, which was originally designed for 1 on 1 sniper fights but I threw in some weapons and team spawns for shits and giggles. Pitfall on Hellbox is basically a game where you have to try and hit the other players down a hole in the floor. Hemorrhaging is just Hemorrhage with some added stuff.
