You just have to accept some of the system's inefficiencies as inevitable and necessary evils. It's really not a big deal, it's not a big part of our tax burden, and it gives kids a chance they deserve.
Lastly, some kids are assholes, it's that simple, not everyone deserves a chance, and certainly not on my back. I still give to charities I believe in, because there's always some poor schlub that has it worse. If I had the means, I'd totally sponsor a family and help them get back on their feet, but it'd be a family of my choosing, someone that I saw as beneficial at some future time, if given the opportunity. Since I can't do that myself, it's the job of govt to pick for me, and it's picking all the wrong people.
