I sold off a complete copy of Actraiser 2 to someone here a few years ago. Always amazes me that so many people consider it a good action game, to me it lacked almost all of the appeal of the first, which is probably my favorite game of all time.

Yeah I really just felt like playing the first again but wanted to give 2 another shot. Don't really remember liking it all that much since it lacked the sim segments, but for $8 or so what the hell.

Just play the romz.

Part 2 kicks all kinds of ass. The very first stage isn't telling of the game at all. I'm not sure if it was a "getting used to it" thing or the first level being weak but the game really is excellent with some fantastic boss fights. One of the best looking final bosses in all of 16-bit gaming.

Picked up Assassins Creed for the 360. Never played it and the sequel looks pretty good so I wanted to give the original a spin.

It is a good action game. It's just not as good a game overall as the first one.
