We're trying to go Only Domestic with our beer list, but it's going to take some time to wean people off imports.
It's cheaper and better for the world.
Better for our economy
Less fuel spent on shipping, ostensibly fresher beer, more support for brewers I actually speak to, etc.
I love me a Belgian quad, but there are good examples of every beer style being made here.
That's not to say we won't ever smuggle in something special, but 9/10 domestic product is the aim.
We're trying to do the same with wine, but it's much harder at our price point to get quality domestic product.
I agree wholeheartedly with this. When it comes to food and drink I'm proud to be a Murican.
I will continue to drink imported beer when I want to.
S'cool. It's not dogma to be followed.
But all things considered I buy a tremendous amount more beer than y'all. It's far more important for me to be making good decisions.
In a restaurant, making that kind of decision makes sense because you can totally get away with it depending on how it works with the menu.
My mouth is less discriminatory.
