I had Ninkasi Brewing's Maiden the Shade yesterday. It was fucking solid. It didn't really taste so much like a beer as it did just a refreshing summer drink. It's probably best for a weekend or a day off where you're just hanging out in the sun.
I'm having a 21st Amendment Back in Black black IPA. I like it but it's a darker tasting IPA than I'm used to. Good thing I have a six pack to kill tonight.
That's a tasty beer. They did a great job with the malt blend to avoid that tart/sour/gross aftertaste you get with a lot of black ipas or "IBAs"
I didn't even notice how fast I went through this can. Twenty minutes and I'm ready for another. It is pretty damn good. You should try the Maiden the Shade, I think you may enjoy it.
