So Brewdog and Flying Dog came up with International Arms Race, a ZERO IBU IPA. So weird, yet so tasty.
"In this epic combative collaboration, hops were banned from the battlefield. Instead varying amounts of spearmint, bay leaves, rosemary, juniper berries, and elderflower were used to impart bitterness."

The Buffalo trace antiques collection (George T Stagg, William Larue Weller, Sazerac 18, others that aren't as good)

Southern Tier Pumpking
Wow. This shit's got me sporting wood.

That is a great beer. Try the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin sometime, too. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy the spiced part of your pumpkin beers.

I officially gave up on pumpkin beers. Real talk, they all suck. They come out watery with no body. Admit you want to like them but you don't really. They are bad.
-
Stormy you're wrong and silly. Pumking and a Weyerbacher Imperial are awesome and full of flavor.
-
You just need to find the good ones, like any beer. I wasn't that impressed with Dogfish Punkin. Southern Tier Pumpking is really fucking great though, and I've heard the same about Uinta's.

I cannot say enough bad things about pumpkin beer imo.
Folk at the restaurant like em though, so we order.

Pumpkin beer has nothing to do with a pumpkin, it's more aptly classified as a spiced ale. I can appreciate any ale effort out there and there are plenty of "pumpkin" beers I would consider great year round ales. I say this having tried over 20 "pumpkin" ales this season alone. Pumking is just a great beer all around super creamy and just enough hop presence to crisp the finish, Weyerbacher imperial pumpkin is fantastic and coming soon is this year's barrel aged Greater Pumpkin from Heavy Seas which is my personal favorite. Bourbon barrel + spiced ale = winter winner.
