I just saw that one. It was on sale but I got the Rogue pumpkin instead. Maybe I made a mistake?
I'm back on a scotch kick after switching primarily to bourbon over the last year. Opened a 30 year Coal Ila that a friend gave me for my wedding. It's fucking awesome. Now switched to Balvenie Double Wood 12 year, which is good but a little bit boring. It's too easy to drink.
Bar had a special Pumpking firkin on the menu friday.
went to order it and it was kicked :(
They also had 2011 Pumpking and Weyerbacher on the menu which were also gone :(
But they replaced one with Deviant Dales so I was okay |-)
Not if you liked what you bought. Assuming that you'd dig the Pumpkinhead Ale as well then I'd say that you may have just been in a bona fide win-win situation where it was all good. Let's go with that.
Hubb: Not a fan of that Shipyard pumpkin or is the Rogue one that good? I admittedly only had a sip of the former.
...and that sip was after having cleansed my palate with a particularly hoppy IPA.
I was gifted a kegerator so I took it apart, cleaned all the bits and set it up. Thanks to my previous gig in the business I bought a keg at cost from my local taphouse. First run: Unibroue Trois Pistoles.
You've got to fill that with homebrew Hub!
Trois Pistoles is excellent.
